According to Politico, “Since the fall of Kabul in mid-August, nearly 100,000 people have been evacuated, most of whom had to pass through the Taliban’s many checkpoints.” And now US officials have provided a list of names of American citizens and Afghans with visas to the Taliban.
The US claims it was done to allow the Taliban to expedite people through their check points to get to the airport faster and safer.
So what do you think? Will the list enable the Taliban to expedite the movement of these people through checkpoints so they can be evacuated? Or will it allow the Taliban to more easily identify, detain, and execute people they consider traitors and collaborators?
